Shipping and Turnaround Information

Understand how Oral Arts Dental Labs handles pick up, delivery, and turnaround times for dental cases.

Accurately scheduled cases are required for us to provide correct case and delivery statuses. We understand that receiving your restorations in a timely matter is very important to your patients' comfort and health. That is why we strive to keep our in-lab turnaround times low and use quick shipping routes so you can do your work faster.

 

Shipping Policy

Doctors

Free Inbound shipping! You have several convenient options when shipping your cases; choose from our local courier service in areas where applicable, FedEx, or UPS. We will provide you with complimentary airbills, packing materials, and boxes.

This policy does not apply to overnight deliveries, weekend pickups, or insurance coverage. In these situations, which, are at doctor's request, or for accounts outside the Continental U.S., Oral Arts will bill your account for any additional shipping charges that were incurred.

If you need additional shipping materials within the Continental U.S., please call Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-354-2075. If you're a new doctor, fill out this form to receive a new doctor kit, which includes free inbound shipping labels.

Financing

Oral Arts offers you the convenience of a monthly open account on all of your casework. Invoices are sent with cases and statements are mailed on the last business day of the month. The statement balance is due and payable by the fifteenth of the following.

A service charge of 1.5% per month (annual rate of 18%) will be applied to any unpaid balance. Any costs associated with collecting an unpaid balance, including legal fees, will be charged to the customer. Accounts with outstanding balances of over 45 days will be converted to a C.O.D. basis.

 

Turnaround Times

Digital scanning has revolutionized our workflow, allowing us to process cases more efficiently and with greater accuracy, reducing turnaround times and remake percentages compared to traditional methods.

Our dedicated team of technicians and customer service representatives ensures that every digital scan is thoroughly analyzed and any issues are promptly addressed.

In-lab turnaround times can vary based on product type, case specifications, material availability, and more. Oral Arts Dental Labs' general in-lab turnaround times are:

  • All orthodontic cases: 5 days
  • Somnodent cases: 40 days
  • Regular crown cases: 5 days
  • Model-less crowns: 3 days
  • Cases with 10 or more units: 7 days

The Oral Arts SELECT Department has a 10-day turnaround on most products due to their high attention to detail and aesthetic requirements. 

 

Case Pick Up

For local pick ups, we may need to verify if the case is a wet impression pick up. Both UPS and FedEx will need to know your:

  • Available practice hours
  • Lunch hours or closure (if applicable)
  • Availability of next day pick up if after 12 pm CST

Case Delivery

It is important to provide the practice address and not a residential address for all cases.

United Postal Service (UPS)

If 1-day or 2-day ground shipping is available, our preferred carrier is the United Postal Service (UPS). This is determined by UPS route availability and capacity.

FedEx

If 1-day or 2-day ground shipping is not available to the postal code of the dental practice via UPS, we opt for 2-day ground shipping from FedEx. We try to utilize quick shipping routes to keep total turnaround time low and get the dental prosthesis to your patients as soon as possible.
